Travel

Ternberg lies in Upper Austria, in Ennstal, south of Steyr. The Koglerhof is 650m above sea-level in Wurmbach. The address is:

By train

Ternberg lies on the route from Salzthal, via Kleinreifling, and from Steyr, after St. Valentin.
There are regional trains to Ternberg station from Linz approximately every hour. Also from St. Valentin. There will be a pick-up service from Ternberg train station at certain times. Timetables and pick-up service details here.


By foot

The hour-long idyllic footpath from Ternberg up through the Paukengraben follows the Voralpen-Weitwanderweg (long-distance trail 04, a variant of the European long-distance hiking trail E4, which goes directly past the Koglerhof.


By taxi

There are a number of taxi companies in the region. A journey from Ternberg train station to the Koglerhof costs around 20 Euro. Here is a list of the taxi companies in the area. Attention: They might not all speak English.


By car

Ternberg lies in Ennstal, on the B-115, south of Steyr. The Koglerhof, where Alpen-KlangRausch takes place, is on Wurmbachgraben-Strasse.
This road branches off between Ternberg and Leonstein bei Badenbach after 38.2 kilometres on the B-115. After approximately 5km on this road you will reach the Koglerhof.

Accommodation

Rooms

At the venue there are bedrooms at Gasthof Koglerhof and at Gasthof Brettmaisserhof . Please book and pay for these rooms independently with the owners. We recommend booking early as there are limited numbers of beds at both guesthouses.


Camping ground

There is a field for camping next to the Koglerhof Guesthouse. A room in the guesthouse will be set aside for campers to use the shower and as an instrument store. The cost of camping is 4 Euro per person per night, to be paid on arrival at the venue. Camping-infotext


Sleeping in cars, caravans and camper vans

There is limited place available for camping vehicles. Before you travel and before parking at the venue, please speak with the Alpen-KlangRausch team. The cost of sleeping in a car, caravan or camper van is 4 Euro per person per night, to be paid on arrival at the venue. Camping-infotext


Costs

The cost of participating at Alpen-KlangRausch is 22 Euro, before 1st June 2011. Afterwards, and until 7th August 2011 the cost is 37 Eur. Payable into the Alpen-KlangRausch bank account - bank transfer details here.
From then onwards, the cost is 42 Euro and is only payable on arrival.
Included are all concerts, dances and workshops. Accommodation and meals are not included. The cost of sleeping in a tent, car, caravan or camper van is 4 Euro per person per night, to be paid on arrival at the venue.


Reductions

In order to allow those people with little money the opportunity to participate, we have the early-booking reduction, when the cost is only 22 Euro. This is valid up until 1st June 2011 and for anyone paying Simon Wascher directly at KlangRauschTreffen in Hösseringen, Germany 17th-19th June 2011.
It is even cheaper if you volunteer to help at AlpenKlang-Rausch. Helpers will (according to amount of time volunteered) be compensated for their costs. More details under Helping.


Booking

From now on no registration ahead will be possible. Please come to the venue and pay at arrival.

Registration follows the payment of the organisation fee into our bank account, bank transfer details here. As “reason for payment” please put your name, number of people and a contact email address or telephone number. Please keep the transaction receipt, it is your entrance ticket and must be shown on arrival at Alpen-KlangRausch. It will then be exchanged for a wristband, which must be worn securely on the body at all times. Participants not wearing their wristband can be asked by the organisation team at any time to go and collect it - even if that means, for example, having to leave a workshop briefly.

Participation is at one’s own risk, parents are responsible for their children.

Only music free from copyright may be played at Alpen-KlangRausch. Participants going against this do so at their own risk and cost.
